Alira Feteasca Black is the tribute we bring to Romania’s national variety.
Created from manually selected grapes, the wine obtained reflects the maximum potential of the variety: fine tannins, notes of cherries, chocolate and ripe plums. Long finish and rich in sweet sensations. pay attention to sorting tables. Cold maceration of grapes lasts between 5 and 8 days, at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C.
Alcoholic fermentation (100% by adding selected yeasts) is controlled at 26 – 28 °C between 8-10 days. Followed by hot maceration (thermal maceration) between 5 and 8 days. Aging took place for about 12 months in French oak barrels in second and third use.
Bouquet: Notes of cherries, blackcurrants, toast, sun-dried tomatoes, truffles, prunes, raisins but also vanilla. Due to ripening in barrels for 12 months.
Taste: Plums, walnuts, dark chocolate. Mature and harmonious tannins. The finish is long and sweet, the aftertaste contains spicy notes.
Food pairings: Alira Classic Feteasca Black is a suitable companion for red meat, from veal goulash to game in sauce. It can ennoble a platter of ripened cheeses. It is also recommended next to ducks breast or Italian sausages.
Serving temperature: at 18 °C, at least 60 minutes after settling. It can be stored for up to 10 years at a 13 °C. Away from light, in a horizontal position.
