Amrut Indian Single Malt 0.7L

The standard assortment of the Amrut distillery is this clean and expressive single malt, which captivates with its not at all common aromatic simplicity. The assortment is distilled from selected local barley and matured in new American oak barrels and in barrels previously used for bourbon, where it completes its personality. Distillation in small batches helps to preserve the natural aroma. The special character of single malt is strongly influenced by the climate in India. It is said that about 15% of the drink is lost annually during the ripening period, so it is unlikely that the distillery will produce assortments older than 8 years. Tasting notes: Smell: A friendly combinestion of sweet-bitter notes, where hints of licorice, nuts, honeycomb and praline are guessed. Taste: A predominantly sweet bouquet, dominated by apricot aromas, woody spices and honey. Finish: Long, velvety, woody, with accents of praline on the finish. Color: Golden yellow.
