Maison Baron Gaston Legrand belongs to the Lhéraud family, which works wonders for Armagnac and Cognac. The history of Maison Lhéraud revolves around the family’s passion for cognac. Generations have succeeded each other with the desire to make the best eaux-de-vie possible. In Angeac, in Charente, they always worked in the family. The first distillation was performed by Eugene. Then Rémy follows suit. Then, by inheriting the estate some fifty years ago, Andrée and Guy Lhéraud faced difficult times. The world around them is changing, as are their values. For ten years, while running their farm, they will sell their brandy away from home before being held at fairs in France and abroad. “Because of this, it all started again,” recalls Guy, who in 1970 decided to market Cognac under his own brand: Cognac Guy Lhéraud. over two hundred days a year. Whatever the generation, everyone in Lhéraud looks to the future. This is also Lhéraud, a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Color: intense amber color with reflections of copper Bouquet: strongly fragrant , dominated by notes of dried fig, walnut, vanilla and spices Taste: rich, warm, balanced, with round tannins, aromas of dried fruits and spices, long and pleasant aftertaste Culinary combinations: a perfect digestive, which goes very well with smoked salmon, gourmet sausages, foie gras, flambéed meat and game dishes or with moldy cheeses (roquefort); for dessert, it is the ideal companion for berries or other fruits – prunes, cherries, raspberries, oranges and, of course, it is wonderful with a coffee or a good cigar Serving temperature 20º- 25ºC
