Cotnari Colloquium Vibe Francusa White Sparkling.
Francusa, the stage name of an old variety, confirms its ability to produce valuable sparkling wines. Francusa White, an ancient Romanian grape variety, traditional in the Cotnari vineyard, was the source of royal wines, fine and full of elegance. It has a floral scent accompanied by a fruity taste, with citrus nuances at the end. Presents a persistent and fine pearl, reminiscent of the long aging in the glass.
Colour: Straw yellow.
Bouquet: The aroma is elegant and complex: wildflowers, lime, green apples, peach and delicate toasted notes
Taste: Full, fresh and balanced, with a mineral background of sea and white sauce.
Serving temperature: 8-10°C.
The Cotnari region (pronounced “coat-nar”) is a once-famous wine region from Romania’s Moldova. The wine produced here was fashionable in Paris at the end of the 19th century. The origins of the vineyards date back before Romanian Moldova became a state, with evidence that the Thracian tribes who populate the area grew wine. The first historical records of wine in Cotnari date back to 1250.
