Oenologist Olivier Bauer laid the foundations of a modern winery in Drăgășani; where he found the right climatic and soil conditions for his grape varieties. Using both local and other varieties; Bauer winery has managed to extract the maximum potential from each grape. This is also the case with the dry red wine Bauer Feteasca Black; aged in oak barrels and obtained from hand-picked grapes, which go through a process of natural fermentation in stainless steel barrels. The grapes chosen for this wine come from a niche of the vineyard; from vine stems over 35 years old, which means that it has concentrated in its fruits all the specific characteristics of the area. Bauer Feteasca Black is part of a special collection of the Bauer winery; of which only up to 3000 bottle are part, which makes the wine even more special.
