Crama Ratesti Dealul Pivnitelor Muscat Ottonel

The hills of Rătești have become a wine-growing area since the time of Count Károlyi, when the Swabians settled here in the early 1700s planted vineyards, contributing to the consecration of the area. Acid soils and southern exposure give rise to fresh Whitewines and balanced red wines with aging potential. The year 2013 was a less favorable one, with extreme temperature and abundant rainfall. Grapes were affected and the production was 2 t / ha. The age of the plantation is four years. The grapes were harvested between September 20-22, at a sugar accumulation of 190-200g / l. The alcoholic fermentation of the must took place in stainless steel tanks with inoculation of selected yeasts.
