Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva

Diplomatico rum has been known since the 19th century. In the next century, since 1959 Diplomatico was produced by the Venezuelan company Licorerías Unidas. After belonging to the Seagram group, until 2002; Diplomatico has returned under the leadership of a family from Venezuela. The distillery at the foot of the Andes Mountains is unique and uses three different distillation processes. Rum is produced from 10 varieties of cane, but 3 of them are used in the largest quantities. Cane is processed into molasses and syrup – the raw material is fermented and distilled for light rum; the second matter follows the same processes for complex rums. After fermentation and distillation, most rums are matured in barrels of bourbon and malt whiskey; and the rare ones are finished in sherry barrels Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso. Color: Dark amber. Bouquet: Exclusive Reserve is a rum especially with aromas of orange peel, caramel and licorice.
