Foursquare distillery blends distillation into pot-type stills and column-shaped stills to create complex rums, as is the case with the splendid 12-year-old Doorly’s Barbados Rum, an expression that has earned its place at the forefront of the range. The distilled rum in a pot-type still brings depth and weight to the blend, while the distilled rum in the column still relies on harmony and aromatic balance, and by weaving them, magic is created. The blend brings together distillates matured in Whiteoak barrels, previously used for bourbon and aged distillates in barrels of Porto de Vin and Vin de Madeira, a total of 12 years spent in barrels to achieve an absolutely remarkable taste. This Barbadian rum is enjoyed dry, to feel as well as possible the splendid aromatic dynamics, where all the notes shine just as bright and beautiful, without masking each other.
