El Dorado is a brand produced by Demerara Distillers in Guyana. Guyana’s aging process is thought to have increased considerably due to high humidity and constant temperature- resulting in an 8-year-old rum, for example, with a maturity that is claimed to be equal to that of a 16-year-old produced in lower temperature. The 15-year-old El Dorado displays intense, intriguing and complex flavors, so it differs from other varieties in the same class by an unmistakable character; consistently awarded in the last ten years. In the composition of the blend we find selected and aged rum in bourbon barrels; some of which are 25 years old, which lend absolutely splendid qualities to the assortment. The aromas are intense, but perfectly dosed, the balance is sensational; velvety texture throughout the tasting, and the finish is truly remarkable. Color: Amber. Bouquet: Coffee notes ; orange, almonds, dark chocolate, vanilla and a little pepper. Taste: Sweet aromas of tropical fruits; honey and gingerbread and wood accents.
