Intense and sophisticated, El Dorado Port Mourant UITVLUGT 2010 stands out among thousands of tastes due to its authentic character, polished on the banks of the Demerara River, under the influence of the hot climate of Guyana. Traditionally, the marriage of rum takes place after the aging process in barrels, but not in the case of this rum distilled in two types of stills – Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still and Uitvlugt Continuous Savalle Still, for which the mixture is made immediately after distillation. This practice allows the perfect harmonization of the primary aromas even before the rum is aged, giving an intense and complex character to the rum. The drink spends 9 years in bourbon barrels to further accentuate its aromatic complexity and is bottle in a limited edition, at an alcoholic strength of 51%. Tasting notes: Smell: A suite of intense flavors, where we discover dark chocolate, honey, caramel, vanilla, ginger and a little Whitepepper. Taste: Intense spicy, the taste reveals nutmeg, cloves, honey and licorice, complemented with fine dark chocolate accents towards the end. Finish: Sweet-spicy, sprinkled with dark chocolate accents. Color: Intense amber.
