In short, 12-year-old Glengoyne can be described as a perfect mix of sweet flavors and woody notes. Launched in 2009, the range is distilled from non-smoked barley, but unexpectedly for a Glengoyne whiskey, it is also aged in bourbon barrels (25%) in addition to the already usual sherry barrels. The drink thus enriches its aromatic profile with mild vanilla and citrus aromas from the walls of bourbon barrels, as well as fruity notes from the walls of sherry barrels and outlines a sophisticated aromatic profile with an extraordinary balance. Tasting notes: Smell: Predominant bouquet sweet, with hints of cereal, cookies, honeycomb and lemon peel. Taste: Aroma of caramelized apple, cookies, orange, ginger, vanilla and sherry influences.
