Obtained after the fine combination of the two varieties, Muscat Ottonel and Feteasca Royal, this bright, golden-yellow wine delights with its aromas of apricot, acacia and honeysuckle flowers. An elegant blend, which stands out with an elongated finish with floral notes.
At Bălcaciu, near Jidvei, there is one of the most beautiful fortified churches in Romania, built in Gothic style in the 15th century. Here, one of the bells is engraved with the ‘Dragon with a Woman’s Head’. Carries grapes in its ears and has a tail made of vine leaves. Confirms an ancient ritual connection between the people of the area and the vine culture.
Color: clear, golden yellow.
Bouquet: floral with notes of orange blossom, ripe fruit, pear.
Taste: honey, linden flowers, honeysuckle, lime, gooseberry, apricot.
Culinary associations: cheeses, grilled fish, pasta, salad.
Serving temperature: 7 – 10°C. Preserved with care, this wine develops, with the passing of the years, a complex aging bouquet.
