The Japanese city of Kangoshima is the place that the splendid botanical gin, named Sakurajima Komikan after its star ingredient, calls home. Not that a more suitable place could be found, because only here, on volcanic soil, grows Sakurajima Komikan, the smallest mandarin in the world. The fruit, only 4 cm in diameter, concentrates in its pulp special aromas, sunny, sweet, but much milder than those of oranges or lemons and inspires the creation of an authentic gin, with an unmistakable taste. In addition to citrus nuances, gin also explores the aromatic qualities of standard ingredients, such as juniper or coriander, both dipped in rice shochu before being distilled. Sakurajima Komikan Gin goes well with simple combinations, with tonic water or mineral water and ice, both variants highlighting its fine fragrant character. Tasting notes: Smell: Fine notes of pine and tangerine peel, complimented with coriander tones. Taste: Crispy, raw flavors that blend delicately with citrus shades of tangerine. Finish: Citrus, fresh. Color: Colorless.
