The secret of the rich taste of this bourbon lies in the barrels used. The “magic” is to modify the normal barrels by adding ten bars of browned French oak wood to lend natural aromas of caramel, vanilla and spices to the assortment. The ready-matured bourbon is placed in the modified barrels for a period of ten weeks. The procedure eliminates that slightly bitter taste often found in long-aged whiskeys, giving finesse, gentleness and elegance to the taste.
