Penfolds Bin 144 Yattarna Chardonnay Launched in 1998 with the 1995 harvest, Yattarna is the result of one of the most comprehensive, focused and highly publicized wine developsent projects ever undertaken in Australia. The aspiration and independence of the mind over generations of Penfolds winemakers have inspired the winery to embark on a program to create a Whitewine that stands by Grange. The style continues to evolve. It selectively offers only the best Chardonnay fruits from regions with cold climates. Yattarna reflects Penfold’s patience and continued commitment to his original goal. Its name is taken from the aboriginal language. It means “slowly, gradually.” Each era offers the opportunity to further raise the quality of quality. Bouquet: An initial detection of peach and nectarine in the spectrum of Whitestone fruits, but the real feature of the palate is its balance and acidity perfectly sharp (grippy) . Taste: The palate seems to slide effortlessly linearly, keeping the intention and purpose. Structurally, it has a velvet sheen that charms and disarms. Supported by ultra fine cedar French oak.
