A pleasant surprise from the producers, The Distiller’s Edition is a whiskey aged for 10 years in bourbon barrels, after which it is moved to Amoroso sherry barrels. Sherry Amoroso is a type of Oloroso sherry sweetened with a mixture of Pedro Ximénez grapes. With a richer aroma than the standard assortment, this single malt combiness the freshness and sweetness of the fruit with the peat smoke and the peppery taste, specific to Talisker. Tasting notes: Smell: Notes of red fruits, berries and apricots. Taste: Sweet, fruity aroma, with honey tones and light accents of sea salt, peat, vanilla and smoke. Finish: Elegant, with woody influences and delicate smoky tones. Color: Caramel.
