Zacapa Centenario 23 years old is matured on the tops of the mountains of Guatemala, where the strong air slows down the aging process and the atmospheric pressure increases the infusion of aromas from the walls of the barrels. Thus the taste reaches perfection. The blend includes rum aged between 6 and 23 years. The aromatic profile is dominated by woody notes, dried fruits and caramel, borrowed during maturation in barrels of whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximenez wines, using the Solera method. Each drop of rum goes through each type of barrel, so that the flavors mix. The result is a rum of exceptional quality, which no longer needs any presentstion. Tasting notes: Smell: Sweet notes of caramel, vanilla, cocoa and pralines, caramelized Brazil nuts, bananas and dried pineapple. Taste: A complex, large bouquet with an atypical viscosity for a mature assortment, dominated by aromas of raisins, apricots, oak, nutmeg, tobacco leaves, coffee, vanilla, ginger and cinnamon. Finish: Astringent. Color: Copper.
