8 Barrels is an exceptional blend from Budureasca Winery. 8 casks is 88% Syrah; 6% Cabernet Sauvignon; 6% Merlot and was aged in oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.
This wine was originally offered as a birthday present for Chinese President Xi Jinping. The label shows the symbols of two ancient civilizations: the famous Chinese dragon and the wolf-headed serpent, the battle banner of the Dacian people. The two symbols appear together in the form of the number “8”. The eight Romanian oak barrels specially selected for the production of this wine.
Color: dark ruby.
Bouquet: with blueberry aromas.
Taste: Black cherries complemented by subtle notes of tobacco. The tannins are soft, well integrated and give the wine an aftertaste that is as intense as it is persistent.
Food pairings: Dishes such as duck breast; prime beef or pork steaks; Noodles with rich meat sauces.
Serving temperature: 15 – 17°C.
