Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino Poggio alle Mura DOGC is the result of more than 2 decades of experimental study. It is an example of the perfect synthesis between terroir, selection and technological innovation. It has a unique complexity and a rich, full body. The wine is produced from grapes grown in established vineyards located on the slopes of the historic Poggio alle Mura Castle. These vineyards representsthe crown of the Banfi estate. The very suitable location for the Brunello Sangiovese variety, was chosen to cultivate the first vineyard resulting from over a decade of research in order to choose the optimal clones for the constant production of the remarkable Brunello di Montalcino. The vines were planted in 1992. Color: mound-red, intense. Bouquet: complex and captivating, fresh and dulce. Taste: notes of plum, cherries, blackberries and raspberry jam, which combines with hints of chocolate, a box of cigarettes, vanilla silemn dulce.
