Catleya Perfect Simple Feteasca Black
The Catleya estate is located in Corcova, Mehedinți, where, a hundred years ago, the vineyards of the diplomat prince Anton Bibescu were. The Perfect Simple range is, first of all, a tribute to Oltenia, our adoption region. It is also a range of mono-varietal wines, designed and vinified to highlight the typicality of each variety.
The wines are made with wild yeasts (which are naturally found on the skins of the grapes), so that the result is as faithful as possible to the exceptional land of Corcova.
For each wine, between 15 and 25% of the total volume is aged in Romanian oak barrels for approximately one year.
Color: red with hints of magenta.
Bouquet: floral and fruity aromas of violet, raspberry.
Taste: complex, long, and well balanced by the time spent in Romanian oak barrels.
Food pairings: combines perfectly with different red meat dishes (pork, beef, lamb), or various types of cheese.
Serving temperature: 16 – 18 °C.
