Valul Lui Traian is where the vineyards of Chateau Cristi are located. It is a well-ventilated region, with light soils. The climate ensures exceptional conditions for the cultivation of vines, being influenced by the Black Sea and the forests of the Tigheci Hill.
It is located between the two walls of Trajan that used to protect the Roman Empire from the barbarians. On the same parallel 47 as the famous Boudreaux region of France.
It is an elegant wine, aged up to 12 months in oak barrels.
Bouquet: presents rich aromas of blackcurrant jam, dried dates and allspice.
Taste: full, with soft tannins, notes of dried fruit, tobacco. Dark chocolate and smoke, with a long and memorable aftertaste.
Food pairings: strongly flavored cheeses, red meat and dark chocolate.
