Valul Lui Traian is where the vineyards of Chateau Cristi are located. It is a well-ventilated region, with light soils. The climate ensures exceptional conditions for the cultivation of vines, being influenced by the Black Sea and the forests of the Tigheci Hill.
It is located between the two walls of Trajan that used to protect the Roman Empire from the barbarians. On the same parallel 47 as the famous Boudreaux region of France.
The royal red blend is the calling card of the Chateau Cristi winery. Served at the court of the Tsar of the Russian Empire.
Bouquet: A rich, intense, soft and velvety wine with aromas of black currant, cherry and plum, matured in oak barrels for 12 months.
Taste: This wine conquers with its soft taste and long aftertaste, with notes of smoke, black pepper and vanilla.
