Valul Lui Traian is where the vineyards of Chateau Cristi are located. It is a well-ventilated region, with light soils. The climate ensures exceptional conditions for the cultivation of vines, being influenced by the Black Sea and the forests of the Tigheci Hill.
It is located between the two walls of Trajan that used to protect the Roman Empire from the barbarians. On the same parallel 47 as the famous Boudreaux region of France.
A wine produced from well-ripened Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
Color: Sublime ‘salmon pink’.
Bouquet: Very intense, with aromas of quince jam, cherries and strawberry jam.
Taste: Full, sweet, but not too much. Sensations of salty marmalade and strawberry jam, continued in the long aftertaste by delicate notes of candied white cherries.
Food pairings: Serve with cheesecake, foie gras or grilled meat.
Serving temperature: 6–10°C.
