95 Points Luca Maroni
The oenologist Mario Ercolino established the Montedidio vineyard more than ten years ago in the central part of southern Italy, in Campania, on the hills of Paternopoli. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 600 m above sea level, in one of the best wine-growing areas in Italy.
Mario Ercolino, also known for Montemajor and Nativ wines, named his vineyard “Montedidio”, after the famous neighbourhood in the heart of Naples he learned to make wine from his parents. With whom he worked at their well-known property Feudi di San Gregorio.
As a rule, he harvests 7-10 days later, to obtain a surplus of maturity and intensity. He is much loved by critics and especially by Luca Maroni.
