Crama Bauer Petit Verdot

The Petit Verdot grape variety is a very demanding one; and extracting a wine from this variety is so difficult that most of the time these grapes are used in combinestion with other varieties in red wines. However, the Bauer winery managed the first wine created exclusively from Petit Verdot in Romania and among the few of its kind in the world. This grape variety is very rare and so fragile that its late ripening can lead to the loss of the entire crop if the climatic conditions are not favorable. And this makes dry red Bauer Petit Verdot wine all the more precious. The grapes go through a manual harvesting process, being then naturally fermented in stainless steel barrels. The liqueur is then extracted in small oak barrels, where it remains up to 12 months before bottling.
