You can’t think of Châteauneuf-du-Pape without saying “Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe”. The history of the Brunier family has been linked to La Crau for over 100 years. Today, the legendary family has reached the fifth and sixth generation, and La Crau is, for many, the best place in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The name of the domain founded in 1891 comes from the rocky plateau of the same name, on which, in 1792, Claude Chappe, the inventor of the optical telegraph, installed a relay. Smell: impressive and fresh perfume of black cherries, raspberries, violets, aromatic herbs and a subtle saline minerality Taste: elegant, fresh and impetuous, round and deep, strong but velvety, with superb structure, fine tannins and balance incredible; spicy, ethereal and mineral, with classic aromas of black tea, crushed stone, black cherries and raspberries; incredible end Gastronomic recommendations: lamb, beef, deer, wine rooster, pigeon, blue cheese
