Applying a holistic approach, with respect for the environment and consumers, Domaine Bogdan became the first biodynamic wine farm in Romania. For the production of wine, Domaine Bogdan does not use any synthetic chemical products, naturally stimulating soil fertility and biodiversity.

Why PATRAR (quarter moon)? Because in the biodynamic agriculture the phases of the moon are extremely important. In other words, Patrar was born from the art of choosing the right moments in winemaking. With the help of the Moon’s phases calendar.

“If we see a forest, we wonder who watered it, who fertilized it? No one! Everything was done by nature, without anyone’s help. The same thing happens with the vine. Our vines feed only on what the earth and sky provide, the rains that water them, and the frost and heat that sculpt them.

Color: cherry red.

Bouquet: medium intensity with fine aromas of sour cherries, pine nuts and wild cherries.

Taste: balanced, it has a medium body with soft tannins and flavors of cherries, complemented by spices such as cloves. Alcohol very well integrated.

Food pairings: Dobrogean moussaka, sarmale in vine leaves (preferably from Fetească Black) and minced pork.

Serving temperature: 14 – 18°C.
