Vinification method: The grapes, harvested by hand, were cleaned of bunches and subjected to maceration-fermentation in piston vinifiers, for 8 weeks. New or second-hand French oak barrels were used for the aging process, lasting between 8 and 18 months, depending on the type of barrel. Tasting notes: The quality of Cabernet de Oltenia is already well known, the one on the Segarcea vineyards is no exception. A confirmation of the quality is the gold medal awarded in 2010 at the Selections Mondiales du Vin competition, in Quebec, Canada. The wine has a wide range of flavors, obtained by a long maceration (approx. 8 weeks) and an aging in oak of 8-12 months. This vinification process is also responsible for the extraction of tannins and deep color. The aromas vary from jam to fresh fruit and vanilla, being felt both on the nose and in taste, where the balanced tannins and athletic body combines perfectly with the wide and long finish. Recommended serving temperature 16-18° C. It is necessary that the bottlebe opened half an hour before being served and the wine be decanted. Possible deposits certify the minimum intervention performed on the wine.
