Falcon’s Hill Red Avantis EstateThe new French oak barrel gives the wine characteristic balanced oak aromas, the fruit is more acidic in the mouth and the aftertaste is long lasting, developsng original fruity characteristics, aromatic hints of honey, beeswax and roasted walnuts. Color that captures visually, perfectly clear and bright, dark purple reflections that betray his youth. The nose offers the first indication of the quality we come in contact with. Its intensity is surprising, with ripe black and red fruits and the sweet spicy character reminiscent of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The hints of milk chocolate and caramels complete the image. In the mouth the wine has volume, but without being a blockbuster, the alcohol concentration is hidden in a complicated and balanced way, with a lot of fruits and acidity. Fine-grained tannins, which receive a small boost by using a small percentage of Syrah in the blend. Culinary combinations: cooked or grilled beef or lamb. Serve at: 16-18C.
