Floral allusions. Medium body, round texture, with beautiful aromas of tree bark, earth and dry spices. Delicious finish. ” Le Pupille produced the first Morellino di Scansano in 1985. From the beginning, this super-Tuscan cuvée has been velvety and fruity and has remained, to this day, Elisabetta Geppetti’s flagship wine. It comes from several small vineyards located between Pereta and Magliano in Toscana, at altitudes of 50-250 m, with areas between 1.5 and 14 ha: La Carla (Magliano in Toscana), Maiano and Bozzino (Istia d’Ombrone), San Vittorio, Vignacci Alta, Vecchie Pupille. The vineyards belong to the Le Pupille vineyard. The wines come from the hands of Elisabetta Geppetti, the true pioneer of Maremma, and a team of experienced oenologists led by Christian Le Sommer, who was for many years technical director of Chateau Latour and came to Le Puppile in 1999.
