Jidvei Traditional Chardonnay DOC

Type: Semi-sweet White Vol: 750ml Alc: 11.5% vol Appeared in Burgundy, Chardonnay is the result of the hybridization of an old variety called Gouais Blanc with one of the varieties belonging to the Pinot group. It is a delicate variety, whose grapes have a thin, very fragile skin, are vulnerable to temperaturevariations and difficult to cultivate. The variety is a true “chameleon of flavors”. Chardonnay wines reflect in their personality both the talent of the oenologist, and especially the vocation of the wine area. They are usually dry or semi-dry, balanced, with a fine aroma of citrus and apple. Launched 40 years ago, the Traditional range includes dry wines, Feteasca White and Riesling, semi-sweet, Traminer, Muscat Ottonel and Chardonnay, and a semi-dry wine from a local variety, Feteasca Royal. Because Jidva’s wines are always with you when you have something to celebrate, we happily remember the visit that Aurel Vlaicu and Ion Luca Caragiale made to us on the anniversary 50 years since the founding of the ASTRA Cultural Association. Then, Aurel Vlaicu enchanted the crowd with a demonstration flight that conquered those presents and Caragiale strengthened the feeling, stating “The Wines of Jidvei and the bold flight of Aurel Vlaicu!”, In response to a toast in honor of the best.
