Ruggeri Argeo Prosecco Treviso Brut.
Ruggeri, one of the most respected producers of Prosecco, produces the benchmark wines of the appellation. The current vineyard was established in 1950 by Giustino Bisol. He is the continuation of a tradition of several centuries, the property of the Bisol family being mentioned in the oldest maps of Cartizze, in the heart of the Valdobbiadene region.
The first documentary attestation dates back to the 1800s, certifying that Eliseo Bisol was a distillate producer. Then, in 1920, his son Luigi Bisol, oenologist, established a vineyard in Montebelluna. His son, Giustino Bisol, was the one who would establish Ruggeri in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, with the stated aim of producing and promoting Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze sparkling wines.
Vinified “in white”, that is, without skins, at 18°C, for 8 days.
Variety: mostly Glera, with small amounts of Verdiso and Perera
Color: very light straw-yellow, with greenish tints
Bouquet: fresh and elegant bouquet, with floral sensations that merge into the typical, fruity and harmonious complexity of intense yellow apple aromas
Taste: fresh, delicate and balanced, with a fine, abundant and persistent perlage and a long, fruity finish
Food pairings: perfect as an aperitif, goes very well with fish, starters and light main courses
Serving temperature: 5-7°C
90 Points James Suckling:”A fresh, fruity sparkling with aromas of acacia, white peaches, sliced apples and lemon. Medium perlage and crisp acidity with a round finish.”
