Tenuta Di San Guido Guidalberto

Mario Incisa, the creator of Sassicaia, says that Tenuta Di San Guido GuidWhiterto was created for two reasons. First of all, the desire to see what we could achieve with Merlot, a grape that he never used again. Secondly, out of the desire to offer the consumer a wine that could be appreciated at a younger age compared to the veteran Sassicaia. The wine is fermented at controlled temperature and stored on the barrel for 15 days in stainless steel tanks. Maturation is done in small French and American wooden barrels (1/3 new) 15 months. It is followed by 3 months of aging in glass. Color: Intense ruby ​​red. Bouquet: Aromas of sweet and ripe black fruit, with secondary notes of oak-specific spices. Taste: High intensity of red fruits; full body, well balanced; with ripe and velvety tannins. Long end.
