Sarica Niculitel Pergament Petit Verdot

Petit Verdot is a rare grape variety. Grown on reduced areas worldwide compared to other varieties. The fruits develop a full-bodied and intense character. Usually the liquor obtained is used in blends. This time, however, we have a dry red wine made exclusively from Petit Verdot grapes – Petit Verdot Pergament, aged for 1 year in first-fill French barriques.

Petit Verdot delivers from the south-west of France (in Bordeaux). It is generally used in blends for its distinctive character with high acidity, firm tannins and flavors oriented towards spice rather than fruit. Because Petit Verdot is such a “bold” wine, it is often added to less than 10% of most wine blends.

It matures in barriques of French origin for 1 year. Parchment is considered a rarity, especially among connoisseurs.

Color: red cherry, no sediment.

Bouquet: Spices and fruity aromas. There are black cherries and plums “dressed” with aromas of vanilla and hazelnuts.

Taste: full-bodied aromas of black fruits, with high acidity and present tannins.

Culinary associations: seasoned Dobrogean sausages; mutton chops with green pepper; braised cheese. ventilation of at least 30 minutes.

Serving temperature: 16-18ºC.
