Purcari

Founded in 1827, Purcari Winery is the oldest winery in Moldova. In two centuries the Winery managed to become a well-regarded winery in all European countries. In 1827, Emperor of Russia Nicholas I granted the winery the status of the first specialized winery in Basarabia. The legendary Purcari cellars, remaining unchanged since 1827. Nestled in the countryside unfurling between the Dniester River and the Black Sea, Purcari’s modern technologies and traditional delights rests among verdant hillsides. Nearby lakes offer fishing, boating, and other relaxing pursuits that heighten the senses. The  wines are produced from manually harvested and selected grapes, processed by a traditional method.
